Similar here ... had the sprinkler system turned on, and tuned up. Ran it a for a couple of mornings to make sure that there were no backyard geysers, and haven't run it since. I am thinking that we are going to sprout mushrooms in the yard soon. ;-)

difference
seems to be a big difference between what you are getting in loveland and what i am getting in the greeley area. as far as forecasting goes, it is a crap shoot. i always thought that the forecasters on a daily basis just looked out he window and for the long range forecast they went to the top of the building to look out.
first year in many that i have not watered my yard yet. crops seem to be growing in n.w. kansas, creeks flowing but no mud holes anywhere and pasture grass is really short, seeing few roosters like about 50% fewer and crowing is down also.

we have had it twice the last couple of days but not enough to hurt the queen's flowers. headed to kansas again on tue with my bow. busy trying to get some pic. posted, got some hints but don't understand why i have been doing it for about a year and now all of a sudden i'm too stupid, got the queen working on it

two days ago an area just n. of the very n. w. kansas got about 3", the rancher was saying that there was actually water in the creek. my turkey area somewhat south rec. just over 1/2". turkey were coming to the call really well and as i was bow hunting they also survived well. hot it did get

I talked to an old friend yesterday who had just returned from his cabin in Creede and he told me that there is a creek some where around there that he has never seen dry until this year.
He said that there were elk all over the place down low as well as sheep.
Looks like a chance of snow here in the Springs, here is hoping.

on my last post I said a chance of snow, I meant rain, it rained yesterday here at the house for maybe 3 minutes then quit, today just a little while ago it rained for maybe a minute or two, hardly got the sidewalk wet. Still cloudy out so here is hoping.

you know old GCB told me he NEVER drinks anything stronger than raspberry tea and if he had any good stuff he is to stingy and tight to share it. Use to hear from him occasionaly but now that he has his own business and doing well I guess I am not good enough for him
