Kirwin was the place to go 40 years ago. 30 years ago I shot lots of geese on Glen Elder. I would be lost now as to where to hunt. I always figured Kirwin was still the place to be.

Great post Charbroiled. I saw myself thru the years as I read it. From going on my first big guys hunt to getting to take my son with my dad and I on our annual opening weekend big guys hunt. Lots of memories pouring out of my eyes now. Next year I will be back in the saddle and making new memories.

I am staying home. Went 10 rounds with alcohol and decided to get help. Just to soon to temp myself.

Just got the phone call no pheasant hunter wants to get. Hail has taken care of the season for me near Wakeeny. Pictures of the wheat I could smell the dead smell in the air. ( no I couldn’t but ) now planning new strategy.

Dad passed away today at the age of 83 . I think he heard that ol St. Peter likes pheasant hunters and there are no limits or closed seasons. Bet a beer that he has already caught up all his dogs and giving them a good loving. Tomorrow he will hunt pain free.

Doing chores this morning and Bubs star dog ran a piece of wire through his foot and pads. He is on the couch resting. Hope he heals. Same dog baled Out of the truck 2 weeks ago and road rashes himself bad. I am bubble wrapping him till November.
