Diamond Dog Food Recall

Diamond is probably not the only one, but i sure would get off their food for now. the risk is always there in any dog food, let alone food for human consumption.....it happens. :(

Taste of the wild also, and it was a SC Plant where it was made. I feed Naturals Chicken. I am not worried, our food does not come from that plant. Most pet foods will have and have had recalls.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Federal health officials say at least 14 people in nine states have been infected with salmonella from tainted dog food made at a South Carolina plant.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said no deaths have been reported, but at least five people have been hospitalized. The pet food was made at Diamond Pet Foods' plant in Gaston, just outside Columbia.

How do you determine where the bag came from? Is it listed? Not trying to be funny, just curious.

I feed my Diamond lamb and rice. This past month bought chicken and rice by not looking at which one I was buying. Good thing.

Diamond makes at least some of the Costco/Kirkland foods, also but I just checked the Diamond recall page & didn't see any of these listed. I'm assuming that the stuff in our local store comes from the California plant. I feed the grain-free salmon meal food . . . works well for my pup.

Call your retailer or distributer. They will know where it came from.

I don't feed Diamond but was just wondering if the bag had the manufacturing location.

By the way Ken I just purchased some Dogzymes probiotic max today. Hope it works as well as the Nzymes did.
