Youth Opener

GoveCounty, it's good to hear they're out there! As long as the the kids had fun and got to enjoy the thrill, that's all that counts.

thanks for the comment unfortunately no birds where injured or killed during this weekend but we still had a great time and the little lady taking the pics said she would go agin on opening weekend now all three of my kids are into hunting the boys are in it to shoot and my doughter is in it to shoot with the camera

Very cool guys good job. I can't wait til my sister let's me take out my nephews. Gcb your daughter is very talented with that camera.:coolpics:

Great pics guys. I really like the ones with the kids and the dogs in the same pic. Is there really anything better than dogs and kids?

Thanks for sharing your memories.

I told my boys that when they miss it is " Catch & Release" hunting.

Great Pics

Kick'em Up!

as promised here are the pics from this weekends hunt enjoy them as much as I did

Excellent pics Joe! Those are way better than the ones I have. I especially like the one where you can see the boy's face, riddled with anticipation walking into the weeds. Nice flush pic too. I hope my shotgunning skills this coming w/e are better than my photography skills were last w/e!

great pictures and KUDOS to everyone for taking those kids out!
thanks

Joe,
Those were some great pictures, your daughter did a great job and hopefully she will get some great pictures this coming week end Looking at the pictures of the birds flying made me holler rooster, rooster and I like to broke my trigger finger pushing the button on my mouse. I am sure all involved had a great time as well. I toast all you guys who took your kids out for the opener, hopefully you left some for everyone else. :)

I love the action shots.

My wife took a picture a couple years ago that has me shooting a quail, you can see me, the quail, feathers flying from the shot, and the empty shell being ejected out of the auto.

I tried on the action shots, but didn't do so well. Gonna have to get better with the camera before next season:eek:

I had one more pic to share that I thought was a goodin.....

The old homestead shots are almost as good as the action shots. Beats the end of the day tailgate shots I usually end up with. My new pheasant season resolution is to take more pictures and in places other than on a tailgate with the pile of birds-

That's interesting b/c I made that very decision last year. I was going through hunting pics from the past 10 years and had nothing but ppl standing next to tailgates w/ birds on them.....doesn't help to recall as many of the finer details like this type of photo does.

I guess a dad couldn't be much happier could he, of course I know you won't miss any birds so don't rub it in to bad if they do. :)
Wish I could be there but it is a long way to hitch hike especially with an old gun over your shoulder and my ole dogs on leash, don't know if they would heel that long or not, probably not.:(

Good pics. If you dont get a bird i always say ....." I was holding out for a trophy." Lol I'm dying to get back out. Got hunting on the calendar for about the next 5 weekends.
