Wind Turbines

I'm curious, what kind of ground are these turbines being put on. Are we talking farm fields, grass lands, pasture.....etc.

My concern is ground that is pasture ground, mostly undisturbed short grass or sand -sage prairie, here to now virtually unchanged, cattle now filling the niche previously occupied by buffalo.

More than likely you as an american taxpayer will foot the bill.

This is just another example of crony capitalism, as long as the politicians can spend taxpayer's money and not be held accountable this will continue. The issue is not renewable energy or energy independence the issue is political power. Regardless of whether wind energy is a viable source of energy (and I believe it is not) the constitution does not give the federal government the authority to "invest" in the alternative energy business.
