Why was Bruce McLeland banned?

you didnt answer my question...

It's a fuzzy answer because I thought you would be able to read between the lines. Relevancy. If it's residential real estate in Dallas, is that relevant to pheasant hunting? Absolutely not. Is Hunting land or Hunting leases for sale relevant? Yes or no depending. There is no black and white here but I use good judgement. I thought the answer was clear.

i said, if i was a PAID member here, and I owned say a Real Estate or anything else.. i STILL would be banned for putting a LINK in my signature or a certain post, say i put in 300 of dollars per year id still be banned or link removed???

Reference above. Bruce was banned because he's dropping on his first post. His intentions are obvious. Anything further, please send me a PM. This issue is done in my book. He was out of line, shameless promotion and completely irrelevant. He could have sent anyone a PM, stated his case and we would have reinstated him. We don't just ban someone to be power freaks. We have better things to do. Link droppers... constant battle and from time to time we are incorrect.

On the Refugeforums.com, they will ban you in 2 seconds for this kind of behavior. I'm a paying sponsor for my website business over there and I'm a sponsor with a internet business. Is that waterfowl hunting. No. Does it relate to hunting and waterfowl, yes. It's not 100% relevant, but the guy I worked with used good judgment to allow it because we have built waterfowl websites in the past. To me, the waterfowl websites we build are relevant: http://www.valleywaterfowlhunting.com/

while I certainly appreciate the "free" service provided to all of us here, and I do understand that the site is 'privately owned'. And we really don't have a say in what is or isn't allowable. (just as if you came into "my" house) I'm "skeptical" of the responses from the administration.
It isn't difficult to edit a members signature and remove spam links. The removal of entire threads that don't coincide with their 'commercialized' opinions, just seems a bit "over the top"/questionable.. IMO...
I'll say this. After reading his post on SD policies, I'm certainly in no hurry to contribute to their game management program.. :D

Dropping links on your 1st post is a clear indication. Every forum moderator knows that.

Thanks for setting the record straight.

I just asked a question. A question others were wondering as well. Perhaps a: 'Post deleted for link building' note would have clipped this one in the bud.

I am a forum moderator on another forum. I know how it works. His "posts" were relevant to the subject, 'pheasant hunting'.
I also recognize politics when I see 'em...;)
I'm not going to complain too loud,, I like it here.. :) hope I didn't just seal my fate

Webguy, if not for you, none of us would have this great resource available to us. I don’t presume to speak for anyone else but I’m sure most of us appreciate what a great forum you run, the fact that you’re accessible to us and that you’re a fellow hunter. Keep up the good work Webguy!

This is an accurate statement IMO as well. I visit other forums and this one is by far the best! You're doing a great job Webguy, I for one appreciate your efforts!

Point 1: Understood
Point 2: Unclear what you are getting at with politics.
Point 3: You didn't seal your fate. Discussion is welcomed.

Clearly I called the escort service first. Coot needs to have his post edited to remove the mention of the escort part.

Feel free to welcome Bruce after that debacle: http://www.ultimatepheasanthunting.com/forum/member.php?u=2772

Hi Ryan: Thank you so much. I would like to be re-instated. What other pitfalls should I look out for? How can I get back to the rules/terms of service, because I think I need to read them again. Never mind the rules, I found them and studied them.
Sincerely, Bruce McLeland

Bruce,

Understand it's a constant battle for us to get rid of spam and this post had red flags on it. One of our moderators removed your post because it was in violation of the Terms of Service. If you still would like to participate you will be reinstated. Dropping links on your first post to me are a clear indication of your intentions but I would still welcome you to the forum if you do want to talk pheasant hunting. We do make mistakes from time to time.

Ryan
