Hey guys, not looking for anyone's honey hole but some solid advise. I am hunting in October out of Huron. I will be hunting private land for 3 days around Carpenter and north of there. I am planning to hunt two days on state land. I have downloaded the public lands map on my phone so I know where all the public land is around there. My question is this. What is your opinion on the best place to look at public land from Huron? Should I stay around the Carpenter area and north or go a different direction from Huron? You can PM me if you want to keep your thoughts more private. I am so excited to put this trip together and I look forward to spending time out there getting to know the area, but I am looking for a little head start for this season and hopefully in the future I will have some of my own little spots scouted out!

Hey Joel,

I would head west from Huron vs hunting around Carpenter. Look at the hatch count from the DNR; not sure the carpenter area is the best. Just my two $. Jon

Had my worst hunt of the season there in the town u name a couple times so if that helps any I'd not head north u seen the bad reports from aberdean I'd head other direction... Ask the guy u paying he might could help...

P.S. seen 9 car loads hunting together in the area so I assume they beat the hell outta the stuff we worked not worth it in my eyes... Listen to jonny

been wet there, crops are not coming out very fast...if you find an area that has been harvested, go there...esp. corn...
