A good offensive drive is actually the best defense during any part of a game when you have the lead. Just like prevent defense ... most OC go conservative when they have a 2+ possession lead because they do not want to turn the ball over. I find it more frustrating to watch a high powered offense go ultra-conservative ... 3 running plays and out ... punt and give it back to your prevent defense.

Like you said they begin playing a prevent offense out of fear of a turnover or an incompletion. Reid did it here up until 3-4 years ago. Used to drive me nuts and cost us a few games. Not anymore as he plays it out fairly aggressively within reason
 
Massive ramifications on the line against Detroit tonight. First round bye and home field goes to the winner. No bye and all road games goes to the loser. I think the Vikings will stop the Lions offense just enough times to win a one score game. 31-27 purple

Well I missed that one pretty bad.

Turn the page and prepare for the Rams. Can't lose anymore now either.

Gibbs was a beast alone! I am not sure how anyone could beat the Lions if they get a few more "starters" back on the defensive side. The Vikes kind-of held that offense in check for almost 3 quarters. Beat the lambs and back to Detroit for round 3!
 
They reshuffle the brackets based on seeding after each week. Highest seed always plays lowest seed ... so if Commanders or Packers win they would go to Detroit. If Packers, Commanders, and Vikings all win ... the Vikings would become the 2nd highest seed and get a home game.
 
I don't see both the Packers and Commanders winning. Especially the Packers. They just haven't been very good lately.

Commanders, maybe. They could beat Tampa. That would send the Vikings to Philly, should they beat LA. Honestly not sure if another game in Detroit or a game in Philadelphia is an easier matchup. Both seem like nearly impossible feats.

These scenarios are exactly why its so difficult to even make it to the Super Bowl unless you have the 1 or 2 seed.
 
Vikings vs Rams game has been moved to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ. Since I'm only 17 miles from the stadium I wonder if I could find some cheap tickets? 😃

Not this snowbird. I'll be nice and comfortable in my La-Z-Boy recliner in front of my 65" TV. 😁
