Update from the Pheasant Hood

Was in Platte last weekend and I was pleased with what I saw--although they need some rain things looked pretty good, I saw a lot of birds and several large broods of 6 or more (one of 10) and all looked healthy. My CRP is looking good and the old food plots I let go to fallow this year at doing fine with some but not to much thistle.

For you that come to Platte hunting--one bad note--Shorty's Bar and Grill downtown burned to the ground early Saturday morning--man they made GOOD BURGERS

Wow! Did not hear about Shorty's The original shorty was about 6'7". I delivered beer there back in the 60's 70's. Grant was Shorty's kid. Was he still running it? Ate many a burger there on Thursdays.
