Unwanted guest

Just got back from vacation and I get the terrible news:eek: My brother seen a weasel go into my crp:mad: I see him and he's going to be checking out for good:eek: Looks like 30 plus hen pheasants have made it home for the winter and many partridge:thumbsup: Am I the only one that hates furry beast:D

I'll tell one thing them are vicious and hard to trap. When you get them there a bit fur, can't believe they were that much trouble! Killed every chicken in the barn a couple of years ago.

Go get em Coot! Watch for Yotes to, Coyotes are the worst enemy to Wintering pheasants.

What does the law have to say in most cases about someone shooting a cat that you come across while hunting. And by come across I mean out in a crp field our something like that not in a spot where you are with in shouting distance of a house. In most cases is it just dispose of the cat and move on like nothing happened?

I can neither confirm or deny the disappearance of a cat found in any of the pheasant cover that I have hunted. :D

Think the cat question is answered by the "Three S Theory."

Shoot, shovel, and shut up.

Still bothers me a bit to kill cats, probably socialization on my part. Was never a problem for Young Bert, the not-right dog. He showed no emotion, just matter of fact, like swatting a mosquito. Dispatch, and move on.

Feral cats are not protected. NOR are they adoptable.
Full of diseases that will infect your inside cat and other worthwhile pets.

Yep they kill alot of mice, rats and sparrows but they are not quite sure how many. They don't seem to have an answer to the collision deathes.

eggs acly how we do it.

Weasels, like cats are easily trained with the 12 gauge!!!

years ago, when visiting a paid pheasant preserve,we walked around the farm yard with the owner.
we got to the pheasant flight cage and there was 5 dead roosters that the owner said had been killed by a weasel
no way to know really, other than all 5 were just bit in the throat and as if the varmint had bit them like a vampire.
you here the old story of weasels just drinking the blood from their victims and seeing that it looked to be true.

there's way too many bird killing fur bearer's because of the anti- fur thing, put fire on 'em when ever you get the chance.raccoons are supposed to be the worst nest raiders, state of wisconsin report, i think

Never seen a weasel. But do remember years back in gaining permission to hunt, one farmer told me "cats are good for two things, mousing...and target practice". I fully acknowleded his message via implication. When I got to his neighbor across the road, he told me I was welcome to hunt as long as I shoot any cat I see away from the barn.
9 years ago, neighbor took a picture of a badger on my place in Iowa. Anybody offer any insight on them? Other than hope the dogs don't get tangled up with them, her claws were long!
