Did you see many of them? I didn’t. Hope there were some!
I didn't hunt lol. I'm not under the age of 17. Its only for youth hunters between the age of 10-17.Did you see many of them? I didn’t. Hope there were some!
I'm completely confused by what you're asking. lolJust wondered if any pheasant hunters noticed many of them?
I saw a few, even shared a duck hunt with one.Just wondered if any pheasant hunters noticed many of them?
Ahhh, but we DO have cattail swamps (sloughs, as we call them). Lots of them. Therefore, we have pheasants.if not for cattail swamps they would have no birds to speak of.
You meant MN?There was a youth deer hunt here during those 4 MEA days.
I hear there are some colorful characters there too, along with their cousins who shoot at anything that moves.Montana is a good deal, too…
Maybe those cousins have a sister I could take out for coffee and a slice of pie?I hear there are some colorful characters there too, along with their cousins who shoot at anything that moves.
Yes. Sorry maybe there was some confusion about this. You indicated you were surprised there weren't more MN hunters and kids during MEA.You meant MN?
Yep, that's my boy.Just bangs away. Luckily, he's not a good shot!! Good at getting permission.I hear there are some colorful characters there too, along with their cousins who shoot at anything that moves.
Out pheasant hunting in SD…yes, over the past 29 years, pretty common thing for a dad to bring some boys out to SD over a long weekend, especially early in the season when the temps are decent.Yes. I don't disagree. I was simply stating that perhaps you didn't see that because there was a youth deer season here during that time period instead.Out pheasant hunting in SD…yes, over the past 29 years, pretty common thing for a dad to bring some boys out to SD over a long weekend, especially early in the season when the temps are decent.
Could be, didn’t notice any youth deer hunters myself…wouldn’t have kept me home if I had a kid or two that wanted to go bird hunting over a 4 day weekend…I don't disagree. What was so different in North Dakota compared to South Dakota in terms of weather and pheasant survival? My take on bird #’s is that they’re down 30-40%…at least where I hunt in SD. I suspect 2/3 of chicks died…ND areas I hunted were flush with pheasants, on par with last year…oodles of them.
Ouch!Maybe those cousins have a sister I could take out for coffee and a slice of pie?
