I heard the Iowa DNR is going to make a trade with the SD Game and Fish to get pheasants back in Iowa. Iowa is going to give them 100,000 hogs for 500,000 pheasants. I believe we are getting one hell of a deal because I consider a confinement hog worthless. More than likely this is some rumor started by a desperate pheasant hunter.

I'm still laughing! I thought the confinement hog was the revered state animal. If I'm not mistaken, from the results I'd swear some voted in the cacauses last week.

were screwed. we had 50 mph winds last weekend and not one damn hog flew by. wind was out of the nw didnt even see any birds blown out of south dakota.:(

i was in n.w. ia. the last 4 days of pheasant season WOW there is some great cover up there. pleanty of habitat and food sources but not many birds. if our dnr helps out mother nature with the fish why in the ---- can't they help with the pheasants:mad:? yes we all know there is winter snow and spring rains but they could plant some birds to help out.
 
South Dakota would be BBQing pork and Iowa would have 499,998 dead pheasants by spring with no cover.
