When I see these blue bloods from California out in the boonies of montana, I think of the internet. It's the only way they find these places, and this I know. Wearing orange, driving a 100k rig, grabbing ass. These guys are using the internet. I guess I just miss the 70s and 80s,when hunting was simple.I'm confused? So, you have a problem with guys posting hunting videos on YouTube? If that's the case we might as well have all hunting tv shows and related shut down. Every TV show and you tube video does the same thing, it highlights the highs and lows of hunting. It doesn't matter what species or state, they all do the same thing. How many TV shows highlight Deer hunting in Iowa or Elk hunting in Colorado or New Mexico? I mean seriously, this is what you want to complain about? People are going to find these places with or without the video or TV show. I understand giving specific locations like towns and what not but in general when they say a state or even what part of the state, I don't see any issue with that.

Golden hour and that guy with that springer are good video.A lot of these guys are wankers imo.Simply refrain from watching. Not sure I have watched a single pheasant hunt video in the past 5 years ... I believe there are a few people posting on this site that post videos ... can't remember exactly who since I have not clicked their video posts. To each their own.
Well it is an amazing tool.I just wonder what hunting will be in 50 years.I know people will have to fork out cash to hunt anywhere, even on public land.Yes,it will be like that. You will slip your card into a machine before you hunt anywhere. You are using the internet!!!!!
I've used the internet some, but when I see these guys in these remote areas,it makes me mad. There is no way they would be here without the internet. Eventually they will be able to use cameras to watch people hunt. That will spell disaster for my cousin.Yes, the internet gives people the resources to find new and different spots to hunt. I use it to find new spots to hunt, sure it sucks if your spots are now being hunted more, but it’s the way it is. It’s interesting hunting numbers keep going down but you wouldn’t know it if you are an avid public land hunter. Lots of discussions about this with meat eater and other podcasts.
I think it’s more private land is harder to come by these days, and not as much regular guys going out any more hunting a piece of land they have always hunted or had family access too. So lots of younger guys who want to hunt have to find their own ways to do it, and sure lots are inspired by the internet, it’s a great thing people want to get in the outdoors but has downsides. My thoughts anyways.

I am not worried what it will be like in 50 years. I'm worried about this year. Look how much it has changed in the last 10 years and how few birds we have. Prairie Chickens have all but disappeared in my lifetime so in 50 years, I am sure there won't be any upland birds left to hunt. Besides I doubt I will be hunting at 110 years of age.Well it is an amazing tool.I just wonder what hunting will be in 50 years.I know people will have to fork out cash to hunt anywhere, even on public land.Yes,it will be like that. It has really changed, these Gucci pheasant ranches, pen raised dumb birds, farmers charging these blue bloods 100s of dollars a day!! These game cameras everywhere, these video guys filming everything, these atvs that go anywhere, farmers renting out their farmhouse, farmers not farming anything.Yeah it's changing and not for the better.I am not worried what it will be like in 50 years. TrueThere are some truly great hunting locations that are still out there. Sometimes just have to travel farther or look harder. You might have missed the good old days. I’m on the prairie right now enjoying a very productive good old day and my sons appreciate me sharing with them. Go find those gems.

I saw one video with 10 guys from California hunting a tree row. They were shooting some very unsafe shots, and I'm sure they were released birds.likely all bird ranch vids. let 'em scruff around on some walk-in for a quick lesson about the reality of it.
I couldn't agree more. Can't stand it when guys hold up birds for the camera that are clearly still alive. Show some respect and dispatch the bird immediately. One thing I realized for sure, and I think Lucas talked about it in an intro/outro one time. Show respect for the birds. Hunting is a bloodsport and the goal is to kill birds. But holding up a bird for an extended camera shot that is still blinking, bill gawking is a bad look. When the dog retrieves a wounded bird dispatch it immediately. I also saw a video where multiple birds are shot, and a guy throws a wounded bird at his buddy to put in his game bag. I'm not getting down on other hunters, but have respect for the birds, and when you wound one, dispatch it quickly.
I still get a kick out of the fact that I'm Mr. Average when it comes to hunting. Last week I went to SD grouse hunting. Saw all these guys hunting with multiple pointers who got a bird or two a day. I showed up with a flusher and banged out a limit every day in a couple hours at most. I'm sure I'll be humbled by the roosters many days this fall. Either way I'll tell the truth. And if Skye or Roxy bring back a bird still blinking, I'll wring his neck as soon as I can.
