Sounds like you missed your real calling in life: Army Recruiter. You just described the world's greatest recruiting poster ever. The army trifecta, guns, beer and boobs! Thanks for your service Goose!

I enlisted in the Army and served from 1968-1971. Spent over a year and a half in Germany, 1969-1970. Drank lots of good beer and had a great time. Don't remember too many naked women. Well, maybe one when I was in Paris on Pigalle! :) Like Goose, I missed out on 3 pheasant seasons in my 20's.

You would have seen a lot of naked women in Frankfort or bomholder.

I was in the 2nd Armored Division 17th Engineer Battalion 1987-92. Mostly demolition stuff, clearing mines etc. That division was deactivated shortly after my departure.

I was stationed in Germany with 3AD in 91-92. Good times... I found the beer with my NATO deployment to Croatia in 96 was better than Germany.

It was really cool living in Germany, unfortunately I was a low-ranking SOB, so I had to live on base, but we used to train up north at this place called vealflicken, And they had this really cool. 50 cal range where where we used to shoot at like 3,000 yd across this ravine and they parked a bunch of old 5-ton trucks out there on the hill. It was a really cool range and I got to shoot it several times, and once even at night. Every three rounds out of the 50 is a tracer round, extremely powerful weapon, I wouldn't want to get hit by a 50 cal round!

I don't think I could be a recruiter, cuz I wouldn't be able to bullshit people like that. You do get to go to some cool places, and you do get to do some cool things, and you do go overseas, but you also have to deal with some big time assholes!!

Don’t let your cousin shoot that thing!
