Drove by a guy on the way out last night. He had a big 3 hole in the bed wanna say mtck but Ithat shows my age . It was black I think it was that fancy new one. BPro? And he had a roof top tent. And I’m thinking to myself I bet the dogs are going to be a lot warmer than he is. I laugh but I’d probably have one if I wasn’t to old to climb up into it.

The 1st time I saw one of those roof tops, my mind went straight to the picture of me trying to get down those steps in the middle of the night to piss after a few brews around the campfire. Hell, I have enough problems with a tent zipper! Not to mention tripping over those stupid down strings!!
I am with you, I don’t think trying to hit a Gatorade bottle a couple times in the middle of the night would work for me. I did a fair amount of tent hunting when I was young and am hardly Gucci now. Relatively clean, hot shower and cable TV is about my only requirement

Hey guys I can still sleep all night without getting up to piss… it’s great!😊

lol I can’t what did I post at like 4 , that’s late I woke up to a dog licking my face. They know the routine.
I do enjoy sleeping in the back of my truck. When I m up here I have been getting more spendy. 10 dollars for a concrete pad in front of the water dept. At least I don’t have muddy feet. Mexican in town for dinner and McDonalds for breakfast

I put mine on a homemade "adventure trailer". I've slept 4 in this tent. I've taken mine on a few fishing trips to arkansas, and a couple of deer hunts, but haven't hauled it on any pheasant hunts yet. I'm okay with staying in dumpy motels for $30-45 per night per person if there's a chance of frigid weather and gale force winds.

That’s a good setup, I prefer mine on a trailer as well.

I don't think you have to climb down, but you do have to climb down to dump mud.

Yeah I still camp out every once in awhile, but I do prefer a motel. It gets cold up on the Canadian and, and snowy. I hunted South Dakota last year in mid-January.

I still camp to. I just got back from my 13th annual squirrel camp with my oldest grandson. And I have camped and bird hunted. Profile picture was inside my buddies Alacanac. It's too much work for me nowadays. I was a lot younger then and it still wore me out. By the time we got the dogs fed, gather wood, get a fire going, cook supper, I could barely lift a beer! It's a lot easier to crawl out of a bed, eat a nice breakfast, good coffee and hit the road.
