Sort of pheasant hunting

I turned some pheasants loose New Year's eve. The birds flew well and the dogs are learning to retrieve. I haven't found a single quail this year in Tennessee, so I guess this is what its come to.

You do what you got to do to get the dogs into birds.
You have a nice looking setter there

Murph,
The bag limit in Tennessee is as many as you want to buy. We don't have a wild population here. I usually get a few guys together and we pitch in and buy some quail and pheasants. Quail are $4 and pheasants are $9. With three or four guys pitching in $50 each lets me set up a pretty good hunt. The man I buy from is out of quail for the year. He had 8000 in November. There are a lot of field trials in our area that need birds.

Thats a darn nice looking setter! I like your dog box as well.

Off topic but what are the demensions of it? I keep thinking I'm going to buy a pre made one but keep thinking why when I can build myself!
