Depends--I travel quite a bit --would not be with out one-- after fighting the idea a long time--great for keeping up e-mail, stocks, these forums for example--I prefer the android system--that is a matter of personnel preference however--

They can be a useful tool, IF one takes the initiative to use them to that end. Otherwise, they become an expensive combo phone/camera/rectangular watch. I certainly like & utilize mine.

I hate smart phones for ONE big reason, everyone on the road driving seams to be using them!
