Saying Goodbye

Sorry for your loss... Like many others who have responded on here I also know the pain you are going through. Like Brittchaser said getting another puppy can be one of the best ways to see light in such a dark time. You gave your dog a very rich life by the sounds of things and people like you are the best dog owners around. My thoughts and prayers for you.

After I lost one of my dogs recently someone shared this statement with me. While dogs have a part of our life, you were his entire world! All he knew from this world was that you were the center of it. I agree with Britt now is the time to go and be the world to another dog.

I have some interest started but no deposits yet! I will keep you posted on the progress. You should stop by after they are born and just see a fun litter of goldens running around in the yard! Nothin better.
 
Recon, you have our prayers and so does Chief. As far as hunting goes, you know he
would want you to get back out there and do it again for him and his memory. He taught you some things about birds and the field and he wants you to use that knowledge. He'll be watching you and wagging his tail.
 
So Sorry for your pain. Your selfless sacrifice shows your love for your friend. Beautiful eulogy of your special relationship.
