Rescue success again...

Got a call today from the North Texas GSP Rescue about a GSP in Borger (10 miles from me). I went over to the pound and took out a beautiful female GSP. I mean good looking. She was a little timid but I took her to school and she opened up quickly. One of my students called his parents and presto...a successful rescue and new warm home for another lost GSP.

That is wonderful Jim. I love to hear that a dog has found a safe haven to live in. I am sure it will be very happy in its' new home..........Bob

Thanks for the report you just brightened up a pretty rough week for me!! :) I lost one dog but another found a good home always good to hear.

Here she is...the new owner named her "Coco". She is about 12-14 mths. They came by the school this morning and she was sitting in the passenger seat enjoying life.

Very Nice picture of her Jim, I think she looks a little afraid. But that could be the strange surroundings. Again congrats on finding that very nice dog a good home. The lady looks like she is pleased with her. Do you know if the family hunts birds?.............Bob

This pic was taken when she arrived at the shelter. The person with her runs the animal shelter. I rescued her on day 7 and yes she was a little scared; however, she is now a very happy GSP. There are two kids here at my school that have GSP's and they went with me to Amarillo to watch at NSTRA event. They brought 'COCO' along with them. After the trial, we turned her loose with my boy 'TAZ' and she was in heaven. Running, jumping, and even a semi-spirited honor/point when TAZ locked up. She's going to be a fine pet and companion. I'll try to post updated pics.
