Photo of a Lifetime

My son Chris got this just right.
Saw two roosters jump into a small slough so sent two 9-10 yearold Puds in after them, me following. Ryder got on the first one but it busted between a couple trees and knowing the other was in there, I declined what would have been a lucky shot. Flirt picked up the second bird and started tracking, pointing it once before it moved again. By this time it was heading back owards Chris and the truck. Flirt got a quick point/flush and Chris got the shot with the camera. The sun was in my eyes and Chris behind the shot so I took a safety, but we got a great shot anyway.

Great Pic. good thing only one of you took the shot. I saw one like this a few years ago with Vice Pres Cheney pulling up on some quail. Two shots were taken that day.

Nice. Very nice:thumbsup: That's a beautiful picture.

UB, Is that a wild rooster?

That's what its all about!! Great shot. You will be able to treasure that moment for a lifetime. Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful pic buck. Where was this pic taken? None of our wild birds north of Sacramento in California have a full ring.

Definitely a wild bird. If the slough had not been small, may never have caught up with this one. We were just out for late afternoon hunt with two "pups", age 8 and 13 months on Wed., obviously beautiful day. These were only two roosters we saw. About 30 miles nortwest of Sioux Falls.

Nice pic Buck (especially with that old mug of yours covered up by the rooster wing). Glad to see that "Flirt" seems to be doing well on the birds. Nicely done

She's getting there.Where we did not get the snow, it is very dry but Flirt has a very good nose for anything on the ground. On the wind she needs to wake up a bit and get her search going.
Here;s the last two of Poco's pups. Both sold this weekend.

Better then a bird in the bag, nice photo!
