Hope to make Pheasant Fest, have hotel reservations. Hope weather and roads are good so I can make trip from Louisville Ky. Have never been to Pheasant Fest, sure hope to make my first one.

I didn't know Prairie Storm came in steel shot too. I'll have to give those babies a try.

Thanks for the link Chris.

Pheasants Forever uploaded a number of their Television shows "THE FLUSH" in the link below. This is a great show. Plus their camera man does a very nice job of capturing wild pheasants in flight, retrieves, and in-hand moments. Nice job to all who put the show together. Keep up the good work:thumbsup:.

Below is a short video that discusses Iowa and releasing pheasants w/a brief discussion about Pheasants Forever Biologists at the end of the video.

Also, I have a question for anyone who may know the answer; Iowa doesn't necessarily want their wild birds to mix/breed with other gene pools---in this case pen-raised pheasants. Therefore, wouldn't it make sense to give game farms their wild stains of pheasant to breed in captivity then release those birds in Iowa?

From Pheasants Forever's Facebook page September 6th 2019

"How important is nesting cover availability throughout the entire summer? In wet years, it cannot be overstated. This video comes to us from a producer in South Dakota just yesterday afternoon. This particular field held this impressive growing brood of pheasants, as well as others that were just hatched in the past week or so.
How old do you think these pheasant chicks are?"
