Yeah, it sounds like I wasnt in the right areas. I have a new game plan for this coming weekend!;)

Dont want to go at it to hard, SD trip planned for the 23rd. The dog works to hard in the warmer weather and I want her fresh for SD.:thumbsup:

Glad to see some people did well, I hope the weather turns and we get some much needed rain to help with the fields. 1st full year back into hunting so I will be driving a ton to find the right areas. It's fun hunting all new stuff.:D

I'm hunting with a group and my son at the West River camp of the U-Guide. This is going to be both our's 1st time ever hunting SD. I used to hunt leased land in Western Mn for ducks, hunted Lake Of the Woods also. Now my son wanted to try hunting, so I'm starting him on upland bird hunting and he is hooked.
My problem is I have NO desire anymore to hunt other things...cant stand deer meat or ducks anymore. Used to LOVE to hunt everything, just wont eat most of them anymore so I gave it up totally. I love pheasant hunting, always have so I'm OK with having hunting dogs and taking him whenever he wants!:D
We have a lake home up by Aitkin and McGregor so we could hunt almost anything we want, 80 acres out the front door and ducks on the lake.... Bear,Deer,Grouse,Turkey,Wolfs...it's all there to watch, I just cant hunt it anymore.

I'm going again at the very least once more to SD maybe even more! I have the upland fever!:D
