O/U Which Barrel?

Im gonna switch my citori to top first. Im finding that in a hurry when its set on bottom first (selector slid to the right, (im right handed) im sometimes slidinf the safety off and pushing it to the left at the same time, which causes me to get caught in no mans land and i cant get a shot off. Its happened 3 times, which is too many.

I don't know how old your Citori is but the older ones were famous for that. After a few million times, they would get loose and do exactly what yours is doing. Switching barrels may not solve the problem if it's that loose. A good gunsmith can silver sodder a little block in there to keep it from moving back and forth. Both guns that I saw that did it were probably 50's or 60's models.

Its a 90’s model in great shape. Nothing seems loose, its that i am pushing away (left) and forward at the same time sometimes and there is a dead spot there

Maybe mine is messed up, not sure I guess. Its always happened when Im surprised by a bird, never when im walking in in a point and am ready

Under first. Why? Less barrel displacement from kick than with the over barrel. Thus, the gunner can more quickly bring the gun to bear for a second shot.
