New Boots

I sent a leaky pair of boots back and I am able to get any Gore Tex boot of my choosing. I would like a taller, uninsulated boot. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to look at?

It has to be Gore Tex waterproofing, but any brand boot is ok for the warranty.

Where did you send them back to? Cabelas?

Check out these Irish Setter Tamaracks. I thought I got a good buy when they were on sale for $119. But at $79 they are a steal. Provided they have your size. I like mine.

I sent them back to Gore-Tex. They have an excellent warranty program. They guarantee the boot not to leak for the useful life of the product. If the soles are worn through they won't cover it, but for the most part they cover any leaky boot.

I sent them back, they verified leakage. Then they call you and tell you to pick out any boot of your choice, as long as it is Gore-Tex. What a way to stand behind their product.

I actually ordered these today:

That is good information to know. I guess there is a good reason to by Gortex by name now.
