So... I've been trying to think of any way I can, to show off my impressive:rolleyes: shooting abilities to all of you.;)

There seem to be quite a few of us in NE Kansas.... And there seem to be a few doves... And dove shooting seems to be somewhat more social than a typical upland bird hunt... And there are some managed dove fields at Tuttle and BWA, where we could meet up at a designated date and time.

Why not have a Manhattan Area Dove Shoot? What if we were to meet up at Bolton or Tuttle on some Sunday afternoon a week or two or three into dove season for a blast and BS?

I'm just spit-balling here, but I think it would be nice to put faces with names, etc,. I would share a log of jalapeno-jack deer sausage with anybody on the forum willing to set a bucket next to mine for an hour or two and shoot a few gray birds.

Let me know here, or via PM, if there is any interest and we can get this thing going. Maybe it could be the "First Annual UPH Manhattan Area Dove Shoot"...:D

Chris

If I'm free on the day you choose I'll be there. Bolton is shot up pretty good in the first few days, but we could get a lotta BS'n done.

Up early this AM to chase blue cats. Wish me luck.

BTW, it's rainin' good here and the radar blobs look the same in W KS:cheers:

KB-good luck fishing this morning. Yes a little rain passed through here.

Toad-sounds like fun, wish I could be there.

Include me in. Want to taste that deer sausage!

I will bring a retriever so you guys can just sit on your arse and shoot. He will go pick them up for ya'

I might be able to make it. I have been traveling so much for work lately that it might be a problem.

Maybe we could get it done before the 15th, something important starts on the 15th ;)

I just drove to Alliance NE and back this week. It was crazy dry up there. But I did see good numbers of Dove on the drive. Hope they stop by this area on the way south.

15th won't work for me either. How's the morning of the 8th work for ya Toad?

Maynard, thanks for the good wishes! We had a give-and-take relationship with "Luck" today. It was an adventure..

Buddy woke up 4hrs late
Buddy left keys to boat at house 1hr away--discovered at boat ramp
Caught a 25lb carp in cast net....cast net destroyed
Ended up catching 5 blues and 7 channels in the 4 hours we had left to fish. The rain was steady and so was the action:cheers:

Wow! I am glad this is generating some interest! The 8th is definitely no good. But I could do the 9th. If we go in the afternoon it should not interfere with anybody's church plans.

Who could go Sunday afternoon, Sep 9?

Let's say Sunday the 9th for sure then.

Britchaser, there will definitely be some jalapeno-jack deer sausage for you.

That sounds good Toad. Britt Chaser, if you decide to go and want some company let me know. I am about 20 minutes east of Lawrence, I have a son that goes to KU.

Maybe you could get me a k-state shirt.

Just not anywhere from the SEC, right?

I am happy to BS with fans from anywhere as long as they celebrate their own team instead of bashing mine. A little tongue-in-cheek teasing never hurt anything though.:D

Bolton is around Paxico right? That would work for me. That is only a little over an hour from my house. At least that way I don't have to go through Manhattan.
