Lodging Options

Anyone have any tips or places to look at for lodging around the Regent/Hettinger area? There doesn't seem to be a lot of options in the area (outside of a castle themed hotel in Regent, what's up with that?). Considering a trip there this fall and not seeing a ton of options and curious where others have stayed while in the area.

You might try the local Chamber, if there is one. Often residents rent their basement for a night...been there, done that!

Call a few of the bars in the area , tell them you are looking for a place to stay , they'll know someone in town with a place to rent.

Regent—- is prairie vista b and b now closed? Was a good spot for breakfast dogs and accommodations : the castle hotel is a repurposed former school. Never stayed there? So no opinion ? There are homes that rent out basements or apartments; they may cater to the outfitters . Know this is a major outfitter region.

Mott—- has a rustic motel. It needed remodeling last time I was there over 10 years ago. No idea if it’s updated? Former monastery called pheasant tails has nightly rates.
Mott chamber of commerce has some listings on their site, a phone call could help.
No idea on Hettinger sorry

Hettinger shows a couple options; Elgin shows an Inn as well. Bowman has a couple options and is about 40 miles from Hettinger. Imagine they fill up pretty solid for hunting season so you might have some trouble at this point. Sparse area so you're not going to find much for accomodations, you're talking a couple thousand people in a couple thousand square miles.

We are opening a pheasant hunting lodge this fall. It is 20 miles north of hettinger. PM me if you are still interested in visiting.
