Light 12 GA O/U

The guy backed out of the deal (sigh). I'll move this to the classified section shortly.

Dang nice gun, wish things were better in the finance department. It would nice in my gun safe

Beretta 687 UltraLight Deluxe

I have a Beretta as shown above by Rooster Roaster. I luv this gun for long slogs on the praries Out West and during the late season here in the grouse woods too. Never a hickup on anything mechanically.

That stick of walnut on RR's gun is one of the nicest I've seen on this model Beretta, much nicer than on my gun. Beretta is known for wood that is strong but usually quite plain.

NB

BlueWeim-that Guerini is gorgeous but more $$ than I want to tie up in another gun.

JMc-PM coming to you shortly

Great advice guys and thanks. So the general list so far is (not in order and not all in the same $$$class):
Cynergy or Citori Feather-roughly 6.5 lbs
Beretta 686/687 Ultralight- 5.8 lbs
Winchester Superlight- 6 lbs
Franchi Renaissance-6 lbs
Charles Daly Ultralight ??lbs

Let me know if I'm missing any. This gives me a good bunch to start looking for and to see how they fit. Based on my Brownings I'll probably need to do some stock lengthening. The Cynergy and Franchi have different thickness recoil pads to order. Others might need spacers.

No thanks on the auto-I like my Maxus just fine. Likewise, no thanks on the 20 as I've already got a Citori 20. Personal preference for sure but I'd rather use a 12. It's time for me to start scouring the internet sites and forums and swing by some gun shops.

Thanks again.

Here's the result of my Light 12 GA O/U search that I picked up Friday:
Browning Cynergy Feather Composite
12GA 26" barrels
6lbs 7oz measured on my scale (same as my Citori Lightning 20GA)

I've got a replacement Inflex recoil pad on order to adjust the LOP. I had just enough time Friday to shoot a quick round of trap and missed bird 23 for a 24 with the new gun. I can't wait to take it into the field this coming week.

Congrats! I Love my Cynergy's. I have a 3.5" camo Syn. myself. It's shot 1,000's of rounds and bagged near everything that flies. You won't be disappointed. :10sign::10sign:

Yes, the comb is adjustable. You knock out a drift pin and slide the comb forward to remove. I had trouble freeing the comb and talked to a Browning service tech. He suggested removing the recoil pad and tapping on the back edge of the comb with a leather or plastic hammer. That worked. From the factory the comb was one setting above the bottom. I dropped it down to the bottom and get a perfect sight picture now.

In the field Thursday I dropped a bird with my first shot. Unfortunately, the downed bird evaded my lab and my extended efforts to find him in the 3 ft switchgrass. I hat that.

Since that turned out to be my only shot, I really appreciated the light weight as Parker and I put miles in the fields.
