Kansas City Announced as Host for 2012 Pheasant Fest and Quail Classic.

Well I sure am pleased that PheasantFest is coming to K.C. Maybe give us Pheasant forum guys a chance to mingle and swap lies!

Mr. Byrd, Due to the high regard we hold you in. You may moderate the discussion and tell the first story! Over libation, and Mexican food, please.

What do you recommend for Mexican? About the only Mexican I have had in KC is Ponack's and haven't had that in a long time since my oldest son moved from Roeland Park to Northland. I have been to Abuelo's in Zona Rosa, which is just a stone's throw from my sons.

I have the dates on my calendar. Both my sons live in Northland, so the Pheasant Fest will be convenient for me. I would love to meet up with some of the UPH bunch.

I plan on being in attendance, and there are plenty of excellent Mexican restaurants to choose from! I'm sure there will be plenty of other UPH'ers there as well.

I see KDWP, and Missouri Dep't of Conservation will be in attendance as well.

There are several good Mexican places on Southwest Boulevard, which is about 4 miles away from the convention center... Manny's, El Patron, Taqueria Mexico. My mouth is starting to water. :D

Maybe we can talk webguy into sending us some UPH merchandise.

Let me get this straight, you guys are talking KC and Mexican:eek:

For shame for shame, everyone knows KC = BBQ, come on get real.:D

I eat so much bbq over the year, Mexican is a nice change. A few friends and I compete in cookoffs around here. And in the summertime I usually BBQ 150-200 pounds of meat just for get-togethers with friends and family. However, I know some nice bbq haunts around KC if people would like to change cuisine. Oklahoma Joe's, Jack Stack, and Zarda are my favorites. Zarda is probably my favorite overall. Their brisket and sausage combo simply can't be beat!

Hey, since this one's not too terribly far from CO looks like I might finally get to go to a PF Nat'l Convention after all & maybe finally get a chance to meet some of you KS UPHers as well (+ whoever else might be there)! Maybe a few of us CO UPHers could carpool...
