I have been reading posts here for some time and decided it was time to join in on the fun.

A little about me. I am an avid bird hunter, quail, pheasants and Prairie Chicken are the birds I have hunted. We have more quail than pheasants in this area, but I make some trips out west to focus on pheasants a couple times a year.

I currently have a 2.5 year old Llewellin Setter (Ace) and a retired 14 year old Gordon (Cookie). I have also had Irish and Red Setters. Kind of like setters :)

I get to hunt a pretty fair amount and tend to take plenty of pictures. Once I figure out how to post pictures, you will likely see more pictures than you care to see :D

Welcome Steve to Uph. Glade to have you on board. No such thing as to many pics,so post away.:)

Welcome to the site! Enjoy the information and feel free to ask questions; if your lucky, somebody here will know the answer...

Happy to see a Setter man on here. I'm a Brittany lover. But we need all the input we can get.......Bob

Welcome aboard Steve! Glad you finally decided to "pull the trigger" so to speak and sign up. UPH has provided me with countless hours of entertainment and great information, hopefully it'll do the same for you.

Welcome and I look forward to seeing some pics. I am the other end of the spectrum and always think about taking them but never do.

Fine looking dog. Nice tail set:thumbsup:
How do you like the the Llewellin Setter? I have been looking at getting one of these.
I have owned two english setter before one from Havlock and one from Grouse ridge.

Thanks guys.

BritChaser, I really like Llewellin's (granted he is the only one I have hunted with )

He finds birds, and is honest on them. I can trust him to stand them.
He has decent range, checks in often, and has been pretty easy to train.

He is not perfect, but I am very happy with him.

Some more pics
