January Gathering

I may try to make this meet and greet...probably a drive up and back but will definitely try to make it.
 
Kansas Hunting Map

I got my copy of the Kansas Hunting Atlas today at the couthouse. Looks like the guys from Wellington will hit some ground southeast of Bucklin in the am, Dodge City for lunch & hit ground north around Jetmore pm. I have not hunted that area for more than 25 years.

That is the plan subject to change as I do some "hanger hunting" 3 months in advance.

See you 1-15-2011. wasn't just 1999?
 
To early in my schedule to commit yet but I will keep track of what's going on to see if it will work out. Now I need to go take care of my itchy trigger finger, tomorrows opener here in MN :thumbsup:

Bump. Just wanted to bring this back to the top to remind everyone that is going. I'm predicting a 15 degree day with 4 inches of fresh snow on the ground (that's always my prediction BTW:rolleyes:).
 
God willing & the creek doesn't keep rising on me, I'm still all in!!! The way things are startin to look for me at the moment, might be my only trip all season...

15 deg and only 4 inches of snow. Awesome! Will sure be nice to get to enjoy some warmer weather in Jan. And to think, some people go to the Caribean for a winter get away... :D
 
I'm checkin my calendar. I know the weekend after that we are hunting near Oakley and I think 2 weekends before that in Garden City.
 
Sorry fellas I said I could be there earlier but I think I'm going to have to bow out. May be down there Dec 15-19

Sounds like a great time. Did a similar thing in Montana a couple of times with a campground cookout. Folks from all over the country showed up. I'll only be in KS for a couple more weeks but maybe next year.
 
I will be there. I have already planned another trip to the Dodge City area on that MLK three day weekend.

So count me in.....
