Is there a demand for no frills hunting lodge in Winner?

Here we go........everybody starts getting cranky a couple months before the season starts. You can do SD a bunch of different ways. 4k for three days and you get your ass kissed every night, or hanging with Smallmusterlander eating bologna and sleeping in a cold van.:). I have never done a fancy one but I have camped plenty of times on public ground. I prefer a little private and a clean, cheap place with a hot shower and cable TV. My cold weather camping days are probably a thing of the past. As long as I am hunting I could really care less where I am doing it.

Lol I feel ya carptom no bologna for me just deep fried steaks burgers & a few pheasants for dinner on the van trips & a lot of beer... Had to upgrade lol got heater & found out wear all the Lil camps & electronic hook ups & showers area from MO river to MN border deffanitly no for all . When my dad along cabins & camper cabins I bring a small digital TV all trips & TV/DVD. Combo for camper cabins mostly don't watch TV on them trips till Sunday & Thursday football...

I've stayed in cheap rooms all over I'd rather camper cabin tent or van it most times plus I can stay close if not wear u wanna hunt work for me not everybody...

Tom: The Anchor Inn is one small step above a cold van!!
A very small step above from the reviews I just read on-line. Reminds me of the one night we stayed in Kalispell, Montana. We got the last room in the whole town during their "Canadian Days" week. Crappiest room we ever stayed in. Couldn't wait to pull out early the next morning.

We almost bought some property in Murdo, just out of town on the west end. I wanted to walk it first. Well I didn't jump on it fast enough and was sold before I got a chance.

I would have to say yes, especially if you can accomidate dogs also, either in the house or a shed of some type with heat. No way im going to afford the big pricey hunts so a more do it yourself on the cheap or ( Reasonable ) works for us.

I grew up in Winner and have an opportunity to buy my childhood home. I know there are huge lodges all over the area with land, guide service, etc. but I am wondering if there would be any demand just for a small 3+ bedroom home with small kitchen?

Yes. As long as some land to hunt. A lot of us want to do our own thing with wild birds and "no frills". Let me know if it happens. In the meantime, if you have any hunting suggestions, my son and I are there for a week or so around Oct. 18--25th.
