How about those Chiefs!

The Chiefs defense is pretty good. Big receivers are the weakness with our corners. Dline and linebackers are playing solid. The concern for me is our inability to run the ball consistently. Offensive line play is poor. Against Denver we will have to run the ball to keep Manning off the field. Right now I don't know if we can do that.
 
Manning is simply in the ZONE. Heard he was running the offense as he sees fit for the most part this year. I agree though about disrupting his rhythm with a stout pass rush, even if you don't sack him, Knock him down enough times and he starts thinking about it. Only way I see of defusing his surgical passing game.

Agreed. But we have had several 8-9 minute drives for touchdowns this year, including a 98 yarder yesterday. With the QB throwing check downs, screens and drag routes for most of the yardage. This is a pretty efficient ball control offense. I think he will have a tough time at arrowhead. If you have never been there it is insane when we are winning. That might be the advantage we need. There is no other place like it in the nfl. The interior D line will be the key. A big push up the middle will create havoc with Manning. That is how New England owned them in the post season. Big push up the middle with Seymour.
 
Looks like the Chiefs got another bone thrown their way....Locker is out for 4-6 weeks. Titans are looking for a rental QB.
 
If the o-line gets better we have a chance to win against Denver. If the o-line plays like they have been we will be lucky to beat the Chargers.

That Denver defense looked stellar today :thumbsup:. They held Romo to a measly 502 yards passing and kept Dallas under 50:thumbsup::thumbsup:. But in typical Romo fashion he figured out a way to lose in the end. Never has a more talented QB been a bigger loss magnet.
 
A nice win for the Chiefs yesterday. Wasn't looking good for awhile though. That was their first real opponent I believe at 3-1.
 
You may have a better defense, but your offense is not going to score enough! If you get a special teams T.D. and a fumble or a pick you might have a shot! How can the ref call that hit on the Q.B. late or even out of bounds? He never established himself out of bounds before he was hit. Changed the mo of the drive at that point. Not that Tenn was going to win anyway. And please get rid of the pink flags. I was wondering if they got so much money for every time a pink flag was thrown??? Let the players wear the pink in support, but get rid of the pink flag. half the time you could not even tell if it was a flag or a towel on the ground.

Might be better:D The same way the ref called the pass interference penalty on Our safety Berry that allowed Tenn to stay on the field the drive before and score the TD. That was a huge joke. Even the announcers who seemed to favor Tennesee couldn't believe that one. The referee's overall sucked. I am sure we got the worst crew for this game. I will agree that the late hit penalty was a gimee. But anytime you launch yourself at a QB you are going to lose.
 
Problem is Carp is that he is no longer a Q.B. once he leaves the pocket and begins to run. I wouldn't consider it launching. The player dove to a spot, hoping the person with the ball was there when he got there. He just did beat him to the spot before his foot went out. I know these refs have or they are graded after each game. I would really like to see them post their grades each week!!:D Of course it would probably hurt someones feelings! The league has moved towards being more offensive with all the rule changes and some of the hand fighting with receivers should be left alone in my opinion. Otherwise the Defense is not going to be able to do dick! The push off's with the back shoulder throws are out of control. It is o.k. I guess since they want more games like 51-48. I hate it. Defense doesn't stand a chance anymore in the NFL. Can't hit anyone and you can't touch the Q.B. or his receivers. Wonder what it will be like in 10 years??? Did you guy's come out o.k. on injuries? What the hell happened to the Raiders last night??? Phillip went back to Phillip I guess! Lost that one!

The momentum changed on the pass interference call on 3rd down that lead to a touchdown. Officials make mistakes just like players. Some people have a hard time with that who have never coached at a high school level or higher or officiated at a high school level or higher. Fortunately I have done both. I worked as a high school basketball official as I went through college. Then I became a high school basketball, football, and track coach. Having been an official, once I started coaching I focused on my team and not the guys wearing stripes.

So, in order for me to understand or not have a problem with PROFESSIONAL referee's, I need to have been a high school ref or high school coach?

Unless you have walked in their shoes its hard to get a grasp for what they do. Put it this way, the parents of the kids I have coached understood their roll with my teams. There was no bitching in the stands.

You opened that can of worms when you complained about the late hit. There were calls made all and not made all game.
 
Sorry, I am not complaining about the coaching that you do. I said there was a bad call on a phantom out of bounds hit. Sorry again, because I have been in their shoes. Not at that level or sport, meaning professional and football. If they are so damn good and should never be criticized, why do they have instant replay and are graded on their games? Why is Baseball moving to adopt more instant replay??? It is not because they are so good they never miss a call. It is because they miss more then they should. There is no can of worms open . You have zero legs to stand here. Was it because I said it against your team? That is the only basis you have. Or you thought I had never played a sport or been a referee for a sport??? Well, sorry! I played through College!! Yes, it is a thankless job. You know when you did a good job when you are not noticed.

Officials don't cost a team a game is my point. Players make mistakes every down in football. Blocks are missed, penalties made, etc. Coaches make bad calls every possession. There so many more mistakes made by players and coaches than by officials. I learned early in my coaching career that my team played much better if I did not focus on the officiating and put all my focus into my job which was coaching.
 
From what I have seen chiefs are really lucky, every team they have played has played terrible, offense doesn't look that good to me but to win 13 or 14 games the ball has to bounce the right way like off a players back leg and pick it up for a td I mean really but whatever. My favorite play of the year was when titans line up to go for it 4th and goal on the 1 and they hold up a sign hey chiefs were running it up the middle worst call ive seen in a while pathetic!
 
Chiefs Offense is still a work in progress. Some downs they look awesome and others they don't look so good.

The bearded wonder tight end is a beast. And Charles has been nothing short of phenomenal. Bowe hasn't even been a factor this year. If they could work Bowe into the mix that would be even better.

Tennesse was 3-1 with an overtime loss. Dallas will win their division and they are much better than their record. Chiefs defense maybe the best in the league.

Bowe is really never a factor. Poor route runner. Very overrated player in my opinion. Should have kept Baldwin. Our weaknesses right now are at the wide receiver and offensive line positions. Tight we are okay but injured. Kelce would have made a huge difference.
