Hi all,
I've been reading the forum for a couple of months now and really like that there is so much talk about habitat work, etc. I love to hunt, but much of my interest is in habitat and wildlife conservation.

I was born, raised, and currently live in Buffalo County, WI where deer hunting dominates the landscape. Over the last few years though, I have become a bird hunter... pheasants mostly, and some ruffed grouse.

My wife and I have 3 children (ages 5, 4, 2) and two labs-- an almost 7 old chocolate and a 1.5 year old black.

I am looking forward to joining in as I have time.

Thanks!

I have hunted ducks, and waterfowl is definitely on my list of things I want to do more of some day. Hopefully as things settle down for me in the next year or two I will be able to do more of that. Maybe even this fall if the ducks continue to visit the beaver pond at my place.

And of course I am a Packer fan.

Welcome, if you are looking for good information this is the place to be. Any question you have there is someone that is willing to help you out. Have Fun

Welcome BP, always good to meet more bird hunters. I was under the impression that Wisconsin has some good hun hunting, is that true?

Welcome BP. I'm guessing we have a lot in common. I work in conservation and am a PK. Glad to have you on the board.

Welcome to the site. There is plenty of information here and good talking. We may even be able to help guide you down the right path to rooting for a decent football team like the Vikings. :p

Nice to see another cheese head around these parts. Welcome.

welcome to the site hopefully you will have some insight on conversations that we need more answers to

I was asking about the huns maybe I was mistaken for sharps or something.

We don't have any geese.:) I was just at the DNR office in Horicon om Friday picking up leg bands. Saw three broods with about 5-7 gosling in each. Had to wait to pull out of the parking lot. Thinking it is going to be a great year for early season.

If you make it down my way at all (Kewaskum) I have an extra layout blind if you want to try field hunting geese. Here are a couple of pics in memory of my favorite time if the year. FALL

Welcome to the site! What part of buffalo county are you in? I live on the north edge of buffalo county, and always enjoy meeting new bird hunters, let me know if you would like to do some hunting this fall.
