Buy what you want but understand that reputable breeders don't cross breed dogs. Amish puppy mills do. Unfortunately, it's a profitable business. Great place to get a pup with worms, congenital defects and mental health issues too. Not something quality breeders aspire too. They are also known to dump old dogs that can no longer produce pups or sick young dogs that need medical attention. Shelters are full of them. That said, accidental breedings happen and I have no issue giving those pups good homes. I rescued 2 lab/brittany pups this past year. Brought them home with their mom the day they were born and found good homes for them in NE and MT. Spend some time doing rescues and in shelters and you'll have as much disdain for puppy mills as I do.
