Goldador retriever wanted

My neighbor has an IrishDoodle. (Setter/Poodle WHY?) Nice pet for the kids, most obnoxious animal on the planet. Dumb as a rock, scared of everything, and the loudest living creature on Earth at all hours of the night. Please come steal this dog. Not gonna lie, I was ecstatic when their previous labradoodle finally died but this one upped the game.

Recalls great. He's e-collar trained but only needs an occasional beep if he gets hot on a rabbit or something. He also duck hunts and loves retrieving in the water. Yeah those seem like good dogs, there is one that plays with my dog, and he is a really cool dog.
 
Buy what you want but understand that reputable breeders don't cross breed dogs. Amish puppy mills do. Unfortunately, it's a profitable business. Great place to get a pup with worms, congenital defects and mental health issues too. Not something quality breeders aspire too. They are also known to dump old dogs that can no longer produce pups or sick young dogs that need medical attention. Shelters are full of them. That said, accidental breedings happen and I have no issue giving those pups good homes. I rescued 2 lab/brittany pups this past year. Brought them home with their mom the day they were born and found good homes for them in NE and MT. Spend some time doing rescues and in shelters and you'll have as much disdain for puppy mills as I do.

I always thought breeding a lab and a golden retriever was safe to do.

Yes I need to work with him on finding those birds that run. He has gotten a few of those, but he seems to just stop for some reason.

What's the benefit? Is is going to improve either breed? Are Golden's known to be better retrievers or hunting dogs than Labs? Not hardly. Not even close. People buy Goladors from puppy mills for their color. Like picking a favorite football team because you like their helmet.

Sorry Goosemaster but for $400 you are not going to get a quality huunting dog. I have more money than that into each individual puppy in a litter. The price is only a piece of the overall equation. Good luck in your search. By the way reputable breeders like me give people their money back if one of their dogs develops a genetic defect. I don't think you get a money back guarantee from people when you buy a mixed breed.
 
We all know Goosemaster does more trolling than a professional tuna fisherman. Take this all with a grain of salt. My chances of winning the lottery (and I dont even play) are better than Goosemaster buying a $400 yellow goldador. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I figured that but others read these threads or they do a search when they are looking for a pup, so my thoughts are normally more directed at them than him.

Yeah I think I'm going to hold off on the goldador,and work with my puppy.My11 year old will be 12 next season,but she still wants to go,so I will take her. She keeps up, as long as I take it easy, and don't get into anything to steep or thick. When my 11-year-old passes the rainbow bridge, I will probably get another female puppy.

I paid $700 for Mr. Jones, and all of my other Labs have been $300 or 4. 00, and they were all really good bird dogs. I respect your opinion as a skilled dog breeder.

I agree, goldens are not as good at bird hunting as labs in general. My dad always had goldens or springers. My labs would always out hunt those dogs.
