Extended season?

Tuesday was calm, high of 46...great hunt, dog work was great as was my shooting...Wednesday supposed to nice, high of 48...then the weather comes!!! Thur/fri will be interesting!!! Windy!!! Some precip...gotta expect it!!!!
 
Hard to hunt when it's this nice out..

Sporty day today! Sustained winds around 35-40, gusts much higher...got my 3 and waved the white flag! My buddy has 2 and kept hunting...we’re a bird away from being at par for 3 days of hunting...nice conditions overall this week
 
How wild are the birds? Are any holding for the dogs? I have a opportunity to hunt 3 days next week. Not looking forward to the 12 hour drive but know I’ll be happy once I’m out there. Convince me BB that I should go! 🤣

Wild "real" pheasants are w...i...l...d. Pressured ones are unbelievable. But 12 hours of driving to hunt pheasants for 3 days??? No brainer! Beats any alternative & you definitely need to do it!

But,but,but, it's a new year. You should have a full deck of tickets again.. With this weather that's here right now, I may have to give them a run again this weekend. Haven't had my butt kicked for 3 weeks now, so I'm kind of healed up. Plus. It's not conducive to boat fish right now.

Excellent point!!! And it'll be comforting to know you're out in the cold, chasing nearly impossible birds like the rest of us. Rather than out on the water on a gorgeous day, taking pictures of fat walleyes.
