Most towns in the Pheasant areas of KS have some kind of a function relating to Opening Day,such as the night before or breakfast. Thought this would be a good place to meet other fourm members. I will be at the B&B in Hugoton
Let's hear about other places.:cheers::cheers::cheers:

Big feed in Hugoton the night before. Will you be there?

not sure if collyer has a nut fry any more here in grainfield we have a breakfast saturday and sunday morning at the church and for supper saturday night we have stag and stagett they have nuts and chicken fried steaks with all the trimings

Lacrosse Feed

Church in La Crosse puts on breakfast( pancakes and sausage pucks) and usually lunch chicken & noodles that ain't bad.

The nut fry in Hugoton Friday night is a pretty good time - Pheasant Heaven Charities sponsors the dinner, raffle, auction, etc. A few of us have been going down for the last 5 years or so.

My brother helped fry two years ago and he claims they went through eight hundred pounds of nuts. Lamb fries, I believe.?

Mostly calf fries but they usually have lamb also - plus beef and a pig roast. I heard they were expecting a bigger crowd this year.

A bigger crowd in Hugoton on Friday nite will be impressive...I think they had about 1800 there last year. They have a Pheasant Heaven facebook page with pictures...I even made a couple of 'em!

The Lions club puts on a good feed out at the fairgrounds for breakfast both Saturday and Sunday morning. Pancakes, eggs, suasage, bacon, juice, coffee...

Friday PF Fest

Friday night before the opener it's the Smoky Valley chapter of PF banquet at the 4H building in Hoxie for me. Great drinks and food, raffles, drawings, auctions, and hunting camaraderie. Come on out!

Hey M.R.,
Does Dodge City do anything civic minded for breakfest Sat morning? we use to eat at the Dodge House,but was just wondering if there was someplace else.

Doors open at 5:30, dinner at 6:30. Bring your PF membership card. If you don't have one it will cost you a one-year PF membership ($35?) and a $12 dinner ticket to get in the door. The 4H building is behind the Stop to Shop at the light on US24. Come on up, sir. Over 300 people attend every year it's so good.

Not that I am aware of, but then I am usually cooking for my family and don't pay too much attention to what else is available.
