Curious...Hunter or Shooter?

Shooter.

I'll walk 10 miles in a day solo behind 2 dogs but at the end of the day if I haven't fired my gun I'm disappointed. Also I'll do whatever it takes to get birds. Mostly hunt with 2-3 guys and same number of dogs. If birds aren't holding for point we block or hit them from 2 different directions.

I've done the big groups pushing cover and it's not for me.

I've never done the big group hunt. I think the most people I've pheasant hunted with is 5. I do well by myself, with my one yellow lab.I think I shoot better when I'm by myself, because I don't have to worry about where the other guy is.Its nice to have company to hunt with, as long as they are ethical, and safe, and treat their dog well.Ive hunted with some big time idiots, and gave that up years ago.

I felt like a shooter, and a very poor one at that, Monday. Had my first chance at a limit on California roosters in a very long time and blew it in a few ways including missed shots and a lost bird.
