I have seen a lot of things in my hunting years chasing the wiley ringneck. I have seen them fly out from under my feet and get away. Shot one, still alive a stare down my chocolate lab and not move a muscle. I have seen them fly in to the telephone wires. But the best is I watched as we surounded a small dried out slough about 10 guys and push it towards the center. One bird got up and started to head out. But as soon as he seen the blaze orange it changed directions. Then seen the next blaze orange hunter and changed directions again. It did this like 4 to 6 times and then flew right back into the dried out slough again. It was the safest place for him and he knew it.
