Can male tell if female intact

If he can, how is he going to tell you? I don't know where you're headed with this, but if she doesn't come in within 6-12 months as an adult, I'd expect the former owner may have spayed her.

I think I'm about 99.9% correct in saying "NO". A male cannot tell if a female is intact if she is not in heat.
 
Thanks. I brought home a 1 yo female. Male was on her immediately but he still wanted to come into house. She started bleeding a week later. Trying to time out her cycle so I can bring male home. Brought her home feb 11.
 
Absolutely. Intact males will behave differently around intact females, but not as crazy as when they are getting "hot".
