Brownback Administration to Ramp Up Promotion of Hunting

"The current presidential adminstration is encouraging from a rather unexpected source because outdoor recreation fosters excercise and better health in a relatively inactive public."........to a point. obama would prefer you only shoot with a camera, not a gun!

Hunter 94, The current administration expanded funding for WIHA programs, and fishing access programs in various states. it's called WALK IN HUNTING, not walk in picture taking. Increased CRP availability. No anti gun/hunting retoric or efforts taken to date. As the saying goes, " do you believe what you hear, or what your lying eyes tell you?" You may legimately disagree with them on any number of issues, but so far this is a non starter

I have never heard Obama or anyone in his administration say anything negative about hunting. Or did I miss something?

britt, don't you realize that if we have a democrat for president they automatically against hunting and guns;)

I think we can all agree on one thing, most politicians are no good, Brownback included.

We'll see how much all his years in DC brainwashed him.

he doesn't understand how people can "cling to their guns or their religion"..you have to pay attention, he grew up in a different culture and a different country, with no father to instill a lot of values we take for granted.
i don't trust him, maybe you do......

Good point. I remember that remark he made now. He took lots of heat for that. But in general, it is political suicide for a politician in this country, except for one repesenting an urban area with lots of gun crime, to take a stand against either guns or hunting. Plus, we now have the two Supreme Court decisions finding that the 2nd Amendment guarantees an individual right to possess firearms.

We also passed State Legislation reaffirming our Second Amendment rights. I think we're safe in Kansas. :D

We actually went one better by passing by referendum a state constitutional amendment enhancing our gun rights in clearer terms than as stated in the 2nd Amendment.

You got it! I think it passed by 86% or something as well if I'm not mistaken.
