Bird Dog Food

Fair enough

Any birds in your part of the country? It really sucks on the high plains this year. By the way, I just cooked up my favorite dog food mix; cracked corn, crean of wheat and a hand full on m&ms sprinkled on top. Here's hoping for a better phez season in 2013

Try a touch of soybean meal, and a splash of margarine!

It was driving me nuts so I called my wife at work.

Not sure how much longer we can keep feeding this as its crazy expensive.

If it's less than $40.01, for 12#, I got today-on sale, I'll try it. Thats what the grain free, gluten free, filler free, fish meal stuff I get is. Wellness Ocean Formula, skin and ear allergies are expensive! The retreivers seemed to be blessed with it. When I was a kid the pointers slept under the porch, got Kennel-ration, (e-gads), and whatever scraps from dinner, and seemed happy and healthy. What happened?

ah yes, Kennel Ration...because "my dog's better than your dog...he gets Kennel Ration..." No brainwashing or mind control going on here.

Few and far between, no access to huntable land, not much for public ground. Seeing some on and near county conservation property, but you can't hunt it.. Out yesterday tracking wounded deer and saw pheasant tracks going back into non-accessable land. Talked to a few people that are doing well in Iriquois County, all private. That's about it. Not worth buying a hunting license.
These build upon home-made dog food recipes sound quite appealing, for breakfast. For me I'd add some maple syrup, for the dogs I'd add some MSG* because not only would they have larger "fruit piles", they will try eating it the second time as fudgesicles after the piles freeze. So good the first time, at least half as good the second time.
*NOTE* MSG is a flavor enhancer 1) recommende by vets to deter canines from eating their own fecal matter
2) has been known to cause cancer in laboratory rats in the state of California

Back in the day I'd opt for Science Diet. After some research deceided to switch to the Kirkland Brand. Pretty good stuff, and you can't beat the price.

Im a dog food Junkie and study labels in great detail.
I was a Diamond supporter for many years but switched after a recall too. Not because of the recall but the fact that I contacted Diamond with a question and never heard back. Customer service is what made me switch..
I feed TOTW Pacific Stream and am very happy with it. It is more expensive than Diamond products but the peace of mind is worth it.
Im grain and poultry free as much as possible.
Man have dog food costs gone thru the roof in the past year or two. Just crazy

Not to freak you out but TOTW is a diamond product.

PS I feed TOTW and love it
