Bad start to the year

Welp, I came home from the office yesterday afternoon to find one of my EP females dead in her pen. She has always been my Houdini dog and randomly and often would break out of her run and be waiting in the yard or porch when I would get home. Well yesterday she got her head stuck and hung herself looked like. I've had a pile of dogs over my life and while she's always been a pain in the butt she's probably my second favorite I've ever followed. Hard to even type this, fly high girl, hope you're on em already.

She managed to get her head pressed through the wire panel and couldn't get back out. She could have broken something thrashing around I guess but who knows. Hate for her to go out like that.

Man how awful for this to happen. It’s hard enough to lose them when they age out but an accidental death is painful for sure. I remember my dad losing an EP that was an escaper when I was a kid They can be tough to contain when they get the urge to run.

Sorry for your loss. The escape artist all too often hurt themselves. I had one of my own and kept one for a friend for a few months. Those were interesting times.

Sorry man, that is a tough way to find your dog when you come home! Remember the good times and tell the stories of her hunting abilities to anyone who will listen. That will help ease the pain.

This is terrifying! My GSP was trying to escape just like this this morning when I was heading out. So sorry for your loss!
