Aberdeen or Watertown?

Depends on your outdoor interests.

For me it would be Aberdeen but it sure gets cold in Brown County.

I lived in Aberdeen for over 30 years before moving to Watertown 14 years ago. If you base your decision on pheasant hunting, Aberdeen is far superior. What I like about Watertown is it's location. Hour and a half to Sioux Falls and a lot closer to Minneapolis/St. Paul. Other than that they are quite similar.

Temperature difference between Aberdeen and Watertown is very little if any. Watertown is only about 40 miles further south than Aberdeen.

That Watertown area looks good.
Looks good why and where. I've lived here 14 years and pheasant hunting has been very disappointing. I live in Aberdeen for over 30 years and hunting is much better there.

I second Gooses comment, Watertown is a pheasant destination for sure........

I’d pick Aberdeen…a bit closer to other attractive destinations in both Dakota’s…and better hunting in the immediate area I’d say, as well. But no consideration being paid to anything else…like location of family, jobs, etc. I don’t mind Watertown, I’d find myself heading west anytime I went bird hunting…

I bet Goos thinks Watertown is good because he seen golden hour shoot literally hundreds of public land phez on his YouTube videos real close to Watertown in the last few years. I hunted public in that area a few times & did really good to, Aberdeen not so much

It looks like a good area, but that whole section of the state looks good.

I live in Aberdeen and have very few complaints. Its a good town with good people. Only complaint is good fishing is not that close. Sometimes I get lucky on Richmond or Mina or the Jim River but its not consistent.
