My wife joined me this morning as did Ellie. She is still recovering from ACL but we let her go on short walks if they are easy. We held Willow and our friend's Vizsla and let Ellie have all the glory in retrieving this heart/lung shot bird that flew about 300 yards before doing the kamikaze dive to the ground.

The custom stocked gun would be cool, the flamboyant shooting shirt with my name on it, the custom Negrini gun case all solid perks. But the best thing for sure would be the corporate Beretta hunt at Paul Nelson Farm. I just feel like those are my people without ever having met them.

I’d like to think I’d quickly replace Chris Dorsey as the host, I’d recruit Goosemaster as my side quick, we’d wear Team Beretta shirts that read “Run your dog not your mouth!” Our world class shooting exhibition would be played in slow motion with Por Ti Volare playing in the background. Tom Brokaw would be there in his White Dudes for Kamala shirt and matching hat. At the end of the song they’d zoom in our 687 EELL’s as the South Dakota sun ducked below the hills of the Missouri River.
