Hey all, my son Will and I had an exceptional day. We both limited on grouse and spent the morning remembering past hunts from when he was little. His wife Kait and his son Willy went with (Kait was our pick up driver at the end of the cover)
Went dogless today, giving Addie a day to rest and heal a sore pad.
I used my 16b Boswell again and Will his 16ga Sauer

Hey all, my son Will and I went out to a different area today. Hunted a couple places. I was able to limit and Will got one also.
Pretty windy today, birds were spooky no groups today. Just singles and pairs. Addie did well today, very happy with her.

Thanks for the pictures and reports Greg. It’s great hunting with a son. The picture of your grandson is pretty special. Great looking little guy.
Hey all, today was a good day but sad. My son Will is going back to NY. My sons and I went for a quick hunt this morning. Will was the first to limit, Jim got two (not pictured) and I also limited. Addie did very well, nice points and retrieves.
Sure will miss number 1 son. I really cherish hunting with my boys. Every minute with them is a gift from God.
Here we are, Jim, me and Will. I look like a dime between two nickles!

And they feel the same way, I would bet. My Dad has been gone 20 years but I remember our hunts forever in my mind and heart.
Yes I agree about your dad. My father started taking me to Nebraska and Kansas when I was ten. I am now 68 and have only missed three seasons since then. Such memories of dad. We hunted the Milk River his last hunt. He has been gone 9 years and I miss our hunts so bad. I hope my boys feel the same way about me. God bless you all and a great fall in the uplands. North Dakota is coming up soon for me!
Hey all, my youngest kid, Patty and I went out today. Hunted around house here. We saw quite a few, but they're starting to getting wild. The morning was cool, but no wind! Addie was able to scent them, but they didn't hold for crap. I managed to get a single Addie held, and another that fell into the flowers, lost that one.
Patty was able to get one out of a group of three. Patty had to leave to get to class. So continued one to another spot
No Grouse, but Addie pointed some Huns. Lucky me was able to get a double.
Very good day to be with my daughter and get some birds

Hey all, my daughter Patty and I went for a short hunt this afternoon. Just hit one spot and boy, Patty was the hot gun! She limited out and only missed one. Every other bird she nailed with one shot. She's a natural. Very proud of her!!!
I only had one chance, but got him. Patty used her 20ga Yildiz and I used my 16ga Carl Goluch
Addie did a great job as usual.

Myself and some friends, along with my 10 YO Chessie and my 9 month old Chessie had an amazing hunt in NE ND. Really awesome to see the light bulb go on with the young one…

Youth Pheasant Opener with my nephew. He was so disappointed with not being able to hunt in the 60+ mph winds yesterday. He had a tremendous shot after I flushed the first rooster on my side of a tree row over the top of the trees on his side. He only had one miss today.
