Yeah army!Six days tell I’ll will be in pheasant heaven for the 30th straight year!!
I leave tomorrow. Gonna run a grain cart a couple of days for my farmers prior to the opener. This will be our 28th consecutive year.Six days tell I’ll will be in pheasant heaven for the 30th straight year!!
And as dry as it is...stay away from patches with mean seeds !Not sure how many of you are planning to hunt on Sunday, but it looks quite warm. Near 80 in eastern SD. Keep an eye on your 4 legged friends. Don't run them into the ground in that heat.
Last year was my first year, 22hr drive. Going back this year and fully intend it to be a yearly tradition that I’ll pass on to my sons when they’re old enough. Also drew a waterfowl license those year so me and the dog are going to be spent but can wait to hear out there the first week of NovemberMy first year hunting SD. Hopefully, I will get a chance to come back. 20 hr ride.
Just read the report..corn harvest only 1% behind last year. Way behind? Not sure what is meant.
This week's crop report is out, corn harvest was way behind both last year and historical average but made major progress over the last week.
No surprise about corn. It was way ahead of schedule in MN. More than half of it is out. And more every day.
Whoever wrote that report should have called me. I would have told that city-slicker to drive around blue earth, wantonwan, Nicollet, brown, and cottonwood counties in MN. The corn was knocked down like a bowling pin! I saw a few fields 20% out Saturday and completely gone on Sunday AM! With these massive combines and spotlights the farmers go all night. That report isn't accurate 5 hours after it's published. Not according to the USDA report. That indicates 43% harvested as of yesterday and only 1 day ahead of where it was last year at this time. Soybeans are 9 days ahead of last year though.
