Birds flushing scare me sometimes.
I didn't hate trap. I shot for a few years. Was pretty good. It's just pretty boring. And as far as helping my shooting, I never thought it mimicked the quail I hunted. Sporting clays helped me a lot but still a lot of shots I'd never get in real life. Skeet, on the other hand was fun, challenging, and I thought it mimicked a lot of my shots. I shot sporting clays and skeet with a low gun. I tried to do it with trap but couldn't hit crap..Thank you for not making trap part of the question. Ugh! F@h%j* trap!!!![]()
Yeah that's a grab ass activity. You guys that are better at sporting clay must be shooting a wus course!![]()
This for me. I shoot at 1000's of SC, Trap, Skeet, and 5 stand targets a year, but less than 50 pheasants.Sporting clay's are easier for me: I can pre-mount, know where the bird is coming from, no wind, feet well balanced/positioned.
and no heavy bulky clothes. A lot more variables when hunting and shooting pheasants especially in the winter.
