My little brother lives out in Denver and his wife just did her bi-annual vehicle upgrade, so he gave me his car, I just had to fly out and drive it back. This was during opening weekend of course, but I tell you what, I have NEVER seen so mony hawks in my life!!! It seemed like there was literally one on a tree, or fencepost at least EVERY quarter section. This HAS to have something to do with low bird numbers as well...not as much as bad weather does, I understand, but seriously, I have NEVER seen so many adult hawks. Is there a way to manage these critters? I know they eat mice and other rodents and do serve a purpose, but it really seemed a little out of control. Anyway, I would have posted on here that I was gonna be driving through Kansas, but I didn't wanna get my feelings hurt from not gettin' invited to stop and have coffee with ya'll, or to do a rain dance with Mr. Byrd, lol.
