Browning BSS 20 in OKC Pawn Shop...

Believe it or not, I didn't buy it; but if you're looking for a Browning BSS 20 gauge in great condition with presentation box; there is one in a pawn shop on Macarthur in Oklahoma City. Asking $1600, got him down to $1300, and you may get it cheaper. It was nice.

Jim, if you can get that BSS for $1,300 or less "BUY IT"! That's a steal if it's in great condition.

Is it the regular stock or english? Barrel length and chokes? Selective trigger?

Man, I'd buy it myself if I was down there. I had a 20 ga. BSS back in the 70's and then sold it in the mid 80's for $285. One of the dumber things I've ever done. They are a great SxS. Can't believe Browning quit making them.

I WANT IT!!!!! Wish I could see some pics of it.

It is in great shape but has some handling marks on the stock. Bluing is perfect. 26" barrels Imp/M. Regular stock. I called today and they are going to hold it 'till the weekend. I'm going back over to check it out again. I'll take pics.

Nope...put my house up for sale, bought another one, putting new tile in old kitchen...saying yes maam a zillion times. It is still there and I may head that way Saturday.

Did you look again at the 20ga? As a first time hunter I'm looking at a 20ga for my first shotgun though like the look of a o/u break
From shopping around a bit I'm still struck by the sticker shock of new shotguns starting around 1400 and quickly on the rise from there.

Just so you are aware, the Browning BSS 20 ga. that this thread is about in a Side x Side, and not an Over & Under.

Thanks Dakotazeb...you beat me too it. It is a very nice side x side and yes it is still there and yes it still calls out to me at night... I'm trying extremely hard to resist heading east and snatching it right up.
