Have you ever seen Tom Knapp

I have seen him two different years at the MN game fair. Wow he is very good and super fun to watch!

Glad to see Tom is doing better. He was laid up for a while.

There are many guys doing exhibition type shooting these days. Some are very good. What sets Tom apart from these "other" guys is that he is the ultimate showman. It's not just about the shooting by itself, it's how you present it in a manner that people will truly enjoy. And that is where Mr. Knapp has a true gift.

Yeah, I heard he is doing shows on his own now and is no longer affiliated with Benelli. Too bad.... Tim Bradley (Benelli's current shooter) is good, but he is no Tom Knapp when it comes to showmanship.....

Was at a wedding a couple weeks ago, guy next to us had ties with the local big-time gun shop. Each year they'd have a big exhibition shoot with Tom Knapp coming in. Said he'd come in a few days early and just hang out with everybody, just a regular guy that could put away the whiskey.

I could have misunderstood, but he also said something about Benelli didn't get rid of Tom Knapp, they got rid of the firm Knapp worked for. Chicken and Egg stuff though.

Benelli fired Tom when it was first announced he was ill. A lot of people said then Benelli pulled the plug to soon.........Bob

My understanding of the whole ordeal is that Tom contacted Benelli when he learned of his illness and was going to be unable to perform shows for the foreseen future . It was at this point that they parted ways. Whether it was a mutual agreement or not is anyone's guess.

P.S. I believe Federal Ammunition is his main sponsor as of now.

Tom does some amazing things with a shotgun and in deed puts on a good show. As long as you leave it at that he is okay. I've goten to know him over the years at the Ringneck Festival in Huron and found him to be totally different when he's not putting on his show. The man has a giant ego and not someone most of us would care to hang around too long. He also likes whiskey and the video lottery machines.

I just saw him today and he was great! He stuck around and talked to everybody and anwaered questions.and signed autographs and clays for the kids. The question came up about beneli and he said that his contract was terminated and they parted ways with no hard feelings. He is still great friends with them he said.

Boys and I saw Tom at Dalton Sports, what a pleasure! Can really tell this guy loves his job and takes in very seriously.
